Showing off… With a smartphone…?
This author of “The Verge” magazine has some interesting priorities when reviewing the brand-new Galaxy Fold smartphone. For him, owning a device like this, seems to be all about showing off and impressing people (most likely someone he doesn’t even know or care about). Is this reality – or only his world??? Are people really buying a new smartphone to impress someone?? Is the smartphone replacing the car as a status symbol? Are there really people out there who believe that “person A” would rather initiate a conversation with “person B”, who owns a phone of a certain brand than with “person C”, who owns a phone of different brand (or design, value, etc…)?? Silly me, I had thought it was all about productivity, enjoying gadgets, design, our “Insatiable appetite for more screen real estate” – etc…
